Bachelor degree
State educational requirements
The minimum term of training for the full-time education according to the curriculum is 4 years with total horarium not less than 2200 hours and not more than 3000 hours.
The extramural studies comply with the requirements of the curriculum of the relevant subject. Students’ load can not be less than 50% of the provided in the full-time studies curriculum with minimum term of training 4 years.
First subject
· The Coaches faculty prepares specialists with higher education in subject SPORT. The graduates receive the professional qualification “coach of kind of sport”, which gives them the right to carry out training and methodical activities.
· The Teachers faculty prepares specialists with higher education with qualification “TEACHER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION”. It gives them the right to practice as teachers of physical education for all students in all forms and levels of the educational system.
· The Kinesitherapy, tourism and sport animation faculty prepares specialists with higher education, who receive the qualification “kinesitherapeutist”. It gives them the right to perform prophylactic and rehabilitation activities in the protection of health area.
Second subject
A second specialty can be acquired in NSA, as follows:
· For students from the Coaches faculty – teacher of physical education
· For students from the Teachers faculty – coach of kind of sport
· For students from the Kinesitherapy, tourism and sport animation faculty – teacher of physical education
The training starts after completion of the II course.
Additional specialty
Against payment, after completion of the II course, the students can be trained on the following additional specialties:
- Sport management
- Sport journalism
- Physical preparation in Bulgarian Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Master degree
State educational requirements
The training assures profound scientifically-theoretical and specialized preparation on the subject; learn the fundamentals of the research, scientifically-applied and/or artistic-creative activities, international recognition of the acquired knowledge and skills.
The term of training for acquiring the educational and qualification degree “master” in the full-time study is 1 year.
Master degree on the following programs can be received in NSA:
· Sport for high achievements
· Sport management
· Sport journalism
· School sport and sport in the free time
· Kinesitherapy
· Sport animation
Doctor degree
The post-graduate studies are full-time and extramural.
The full-time post-graduate studies has a 4 years minimal term of preparation after an acquired qualification degree “bachelor”, or 3 years term of preparation after an acquired qualification degree “master”.
The extramural post-graduate studies has a 5 years minimal term of preparation after an acquired qualification degree “bachelor”, or 4 years term of preparation after an acquired qualification degree “master”.
The post-graduate studies can be accomplished also with independent preparation, for which the institution assures training in accordance with the other forms of post-graduate studies.
Persons who have acquired the educational and qualification degrees “bachelor” or “master” can apply for post-graduate studies.
Persons, who had graduated foreign institutions for higher education, can apply only after their diploma is recognized by the order of the Regulation for the state requirements for recognition of acquired higher education and finished training periods in foreign schools for higher education, which is adopted by Government decree N 168/2000 (Official gazette, copy 69/2000).
The training for the educational and academic degree “doctor” is performed on scientific fields. The scientific field, in which the training will be conducted, must be from the scientific sphere, corresponding to the professional qualification, in which the person has acquired the qualification degree “bachelor”.
